Our Process consists the following 4 steps
This is where every great project begins: with listening. In this initial phase, we take the time to understand why you're looking to make a change—whether it's to enhance the functionality of your home, create a more inspiring commercial space, or add long-term value to your property. We’ll work closely with you to uncover your goals, budget, lifestyle needs, and aesthetic preferences. At the same time, we’ll identify any site constraints, local council considerations, and opportunities that could shape the design. This collaborative conversation forms the foundation of the entire project and ensures that every design decision we make reflects your priorities from day one.
With a clear brief in place, we move into the creative stage. Here, we explore different design possibilities and present schematic drawings that communicate our vision at a high level. These are not yet final blueprints, but rather sketches, diagrams, and 3D massing studies that help you visualise the overall layout, flow, and style of your project. We'll review these concepts with you to ensure they align with your aspirations before progressing to more detailed design work. This stage is all about big-picture thinking, setting the tone for the architecture and unlocking your project's full potential.
Once a concept direction is chosen, we begin to develop it into a more resolved and realistic design. This is where the magic starts to feel tangible. We’ll introduce materials, finishes, joinery layouts, lighting concepts, and fixtures, while coordinating with specialist consultants (like structural engineers or energy assessors) to ensure technical feasibility. By the end of this phase, you’ll have a comprehensive design package that captures both the look and function of the space—including plans, elevations, and internal layouts — ready for planning submission or builder pricing.
The final stage involves preparing a complete set of architectural drawings and documentation needed for council approval, consultant coordination, tendering, and ultimately, construction. These drawings include all the technical details—structural coordination, services integration, construction assemblies, and compliance with the National Construction Code and local planning requirements. We ensure everything is accurately documented so that your builder has the information they need to bring the design to life exactly as intended, with no surprises.
